If fighting is not your style, then perhaps playing a good healthy game of Soccer, Volleyball or Basketball might be exactly what you need to fight for your City.
Starting March 30th until April 8, Manhattanites will indulge in an East Vs. West battle to see who is the best.
“Over 100 separate teams will participate, with the West team consisting of residents of the island west of Fifth Avenue (above 14th Street) or west of Broadway (below 14th); the East squad covers denizens of the other side of the borough. Winners of each event (soccer, basketball, volleyball and a 5K run) acquire 100 points for their side. There are divisions for both males and females, and the 5K race is co-ed. The 5k is the debut event with the starting gun sounding at 10:00 a.m. at Pier 46 in Hudson River Park. The rest of the events will be held at the following locations…”

Well, if you want to see some elephants in the Midtown Tunnel, you better not miss it. Wow! New York City you can even see a parade of elephants in one of the busiest places in the City. Isn’t that awesome?
“Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus march their elephants from Long Island City to Penn Station tonight by way of the Midtown Tunnel. This tradition, born out of necessity, closes down the tunnel and vehicular traffic and is free for all. For an extra treat, try and grab the view from the less crowded Long Island City side. In Manhattan, the elephants will emerge from the north tube of the Queens Midtown Tunnel and proceed along 34th Street to The Garden.
